Step
1. Remove
the 3 screws holding the instrument cluster on tank using
the 5MM Allen head wrench.

Step
2.
Remove the 3 screws holding the speedo housing using the
medium Philips head screwdriver.

Step
3. Remove
4 screws holding the speedo housing together using the small
Philips head screwdriver. Also remove the rubber grommet
in the bottom hole of the housing.

Step
4. Using
the chip puller, carefully pull straight up on the needles
until they pop off. Take care not to wiggle them at all.
Just pull straight up firmly.
Be
VERY careful when working with your needles. I am not responsible
if you break them. This is the only way that you can install
the new face and as long as you are careful and take your
time, you'll be fine.

Step
5. Remove
the 2 small screws using the small Philips head screwdriver.

Step
6. Carefully
lay your new Custom Speedo Face over the existing face making
sure that the needle stops in the stock face go through
the holes in the new face.
Step
7. Push
the needles back on by resting the ends of the needles against
the needle stops then pushing the center of the needles
gently down onto the needle stems. Do not push them all
the way on yet.
Step
8. Reconnect
speedometer wires before you put the case back together
to make sure needles go back to proper positions after the
speedometer does its reset. If not, pull and reposition
until the needles don’t “jump” when the
speedo resets. This portion of the install is what will
take the longest amount of time. Once the needles are in
the proper place, push them all the way on.
Step
9. Put
the 2 small screws back in on the front of the Speedo Face.
Step
10. Put
the 4 screws back in the back that holds the speedo housing
together.
Step
11. Put
the 3 screws back in that hold speedo housing onto cluster.
Push the lower rubber grommet in first, then pull the top
part into the hole, you may have to wiggle it a bit to get
it back into the hole.
Step
12. Reconnect
the wiring for the speedo and then turn the bike on. Make
sure that the needles still don’t jump when the speedo
resets. If it does then you have to repeat steps 7 and 8
again until they don’t.
Good
luck and I hope you enjoy your new Custom Speedo Face!
