I have not yet had any people mention having a problem with their new speedo faces and riding at night, but the fact exists and does need to be addressed.

Since the new face will be installed on top of your OEM stock face, the amount of light will be reduced since there are now 2 layers of material for the light to pass through. Indicator lights will not be effected, but the numbers may. There is unfortunately no way around this.

If you do a lot of riding at night you may need to use brighter colors on your new face. When choosing the look of your face please keep this in mind.

Also, there is a possibility of the numbers on the OEM stock speedo being "ghosted" behind the new face while riding at night. Once again this is due to the light behind the stock face casting the shadow on the back of the new face. The only way to completely eliminate this problem is to use the same font that is used on the OEM stock face.

If you do very little night time riding then the above mentioned problems will not effect you very much at all.
